we recorded this in a rehearsal space that was under brighton station. There's a toy museum there now. You can go in the toy museum and look at the hornby trains whizzing round on their little tracks and know that years previously i would have been standing right there in the middle of the track recording this song. Thank christ time is linear or i would've had toy trains from the future hitting my leg and would probably have fucked the song up. I'm sure there are plenty of other perfectly adequate reasons for time being linear but that's the one that immediately comes to mind. If you're ever at a party and some drunken quantum physicist starts bending your ear and trying to tell you otherwise you can play them this song as proof.
